BABYMONSTER

BABYMONSTER is a girl group of YG Entertainment consisting of Ruka, Pharita, Asa, Ahyeon, Rami, Rora, and Chiquita. The group, with multinational members from Korea, Thailand, and Japan, imprinted the presence in the global music market as the "monster rookie" with overwhelming capabilities covering all aspects from vocal, rap, performance to visuals.

 

Following two pre debut singles: "BATTER UP" and "Stuck In The Middle," BABYMONSTER made its official debut with the first EP, [BABYMONS7ER], on April 1st, 2024. Title track "SHEESH" ranked 69th on Spotify's daily top song global chart on the first day of its release.

 

The record is the highest entry among K-pop girl group songs released this year. The song has gained huge popularity on YouTube, solidifying BABYMONSTER as the next 'YouTube queen'. Starting with 24-hour view count (22.59 million), "BATTER UP" achieved new records for the K-pop group's first release song, with 100 million views (18 days) and 200 million views (53 days). "SHEESH" has broke the team's own record with much steeper speed(10 days), and subscribers to official channel is set to surpass 5.2 million.

 

Starting with the release of its first EP, BABYMONSTER will gradually expand its global influence. In June, the group plans to hold a fan meeting tour covering five Asian regions (Tokyo, Jakarta, Singapore, Taipei, Thailand) to communicate with fans all over the world. In addition, it will expand its scope to the global market by performing at Japan's largest music festival "Summer Sonic 2024" in August.
